When buying a car which has been restored, it is important to ensure that all of the rust and other structural damage has been repaired properly and the car chassis is as structurally sound as when it was new. That is the case for this excellent example. Although it started out in rough shape with a lot of rust damage and poorly attempted previous repairs, the experts Bruce Baker and his team at Bruce Baker Enterprises replaced all rust and the car is steel under the paint with lead to finish some areas such as around the decklid and trunk opening - just as the factory did in the 1950s. The body was cut off to repair the inner panels. There is no way to properly repair a rusty 356 without removal of the body. Cuts were made using the original factory seams and the body was welded back together just as the factory did it when it was new.
